Seven Years Later

Image
I have been blogging for seven years!!!!!  January 7th will be my seven year anniversary on blogger. So much as changed in seven years. Some of the people that I have started with in the community are no longer here. The nature of the blogging landscape has changed. Mom bloggers are now mom entrepreneurs. I am so happy for this.  I have grown tremendously over the seven years.  One thing that stood out for me is that over the last seven years, is that blogging gave me a voice when I thought I had none.  This was the space I felt like I could be me and a community of strangers totally understood and accepted me. This was the place that helped me through my depression. This is the place that I dreamed and dared to create a new life. If you are reading this blog now I want to take a second to thank you. Thank you for joining me on my journey.

Kick Starting January

Image
Happy New Year Everyone!!!!! So I am kicking starting my new year by fusing the planner girl in me with all of my goals to change my life. So, while I was planning my January monthly spread in my personal planner I came up with the idea to create a challenge for each week of January. The challenges are broken down as such: Week 1     The Blog It Challenge Week 2     The Positive Mind Challenge Week 3     You Can Do It Challenge Week 4     Journal It Challenge All of these challenges can be linked to your goals or resolutions that you made at the end of December.  This week I have started The Blog It Challenge. This challenge is good for me because I have not been blogging consistently on this blog. Plus, it is reminding me why I started blogging in the first place.    I hope you you try one of my challenges or create a couple of challenges of your own. I would love to hear about your experiences. Leave a comment below and I will definitely stop by you

Why I Dont Make Resolutions

I don't make resolutions because I don't keep them. That is it! Thinking back, I have never keep a New Year's Resolution; however, throughout my 20's I have always made them. Instead of making resolutions, sit and plan for your year. Map out your major goals and your sub- goals. Chart how you are going to accomplish these goals. Actually, get up and work on accomplishing your goals. Vision board your goals, dreams and aspirations. Never give up even if you feel like you cannot make it.
