The Brat versus The Nation Builder

Today is Christmas Day internationally and although I am not celebrating Christmas, I found myself raking the yard, washing clothes, cleaning and washing the car and some light cleaning. I was not amused by this. In fact these things were that last thing I wanted to do. I did all of this after I was worked at the Lioness Boutique booth until 4 am Christmas morning. A part of me wanted to be in bed watching television or sleeping. I wanted to do any or everything else except for what I did. A part of me was telling God my plight and another part of me did not want to complain.
Why am I telling you this? Tonight I was updating the Lioness Boutique Facebook page and I was doing something completely unrelated when I got this word:
"She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.  She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.  She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.&…

When Dreams Die..........

The Dream Dies
My readers would have known that I had all but given up onLioness Boutique, this was partly because I was scammed by unscrupulous business associates. I made the decision to shut down the shop. I was fine with the decision. I had deactivated theFacebook pageand locked up shop so to speak. Basically, I had moved on with my life. In my mind the dream was dead and rightly so.
Almost a year later, the business was dead. I became a child of God (I prefer this term to Christian) and I started to pray to God for direction as to what my next step should be. In the middle of my purpose (a series of prayer to God and meditation) I started to receive queries about Lioness Boutique. This was after I had received another idea for another business and I was in the process of establishing that idea. Then, out of nowhere I started to get notifications on Google plus about a video that I had done for my blog, Lioness Rebirth, about how to sell on Facebook. This was a video that I had cre…

Life's Lessons

I find myself trying to explain to my daughter of 7 years who Nelson Mandela was and what he represented to Africa and the world. It was interesting to explain the significance of the life of this man in words that she could relate to and remember. It was also important as a child of God to make the link to her of how God glorified Nelson Mandela's life because of the values that he represented. I dont know if she totally understood the magnitude of the message i was trying to convey but if there was one thing i wanted her to understand. It would definitely be that having the nature of God is not a curse  but a glorious blessing. The life of Nelson Mandela was proof of that.

Smart Cash and Big Miracles

Last year I teamed up with Campus Book Rentals (SEE POST) and this year it is my pleasure again to work with them.
As I sat to write this post I began to reflect on my childhood. Why you might wonder. Well, when I was growing up textbooks were and still are expensive. So here in Jamaica mother's like mine came up with a system of sharing text books. I would pass my old textbooks to my younger sister, cousins, friends and neighbours and they would do the same to me. This was a very cost efficient system because over the years, my mom saved thousands. Now Campus Book Rentals has developed a similar system, only instead of lending your books for free you are able to make money in return. Yes, I did say you could make money using your used textbooks.
This new programme is called RentBack. Basically, RentBack gives you the opportunity to make money that does not entail sweat or tears. All you do is sit back and send your used books that are in excellence condition to them. What makes …
