Why I Dont Make Resolutions

I don't make resolutions because I don't keep them. That is it!

Thinking back, I have never keep a New Year's Resolution; however, throughout my 20's I have always made them.

Instead of making resolutions, sit and plan for your year.

Map out your major goals and your sub- goals.

Chart how you are going to accomplish these goals.

Actually, get up and work on accomplishing your goals.

Vision board your goals, dreams and aspirations.

Never give up even if you feel like you cannot make it.

New Look, New ATTITUDE Give-away 1

This give-away is brought to you by the author of the e-book, The New Death and others, James Hutchings. Mr. Hutchings recently contacted me and requested I do a review of his book. Let me make this clear, I am in no way being compensated for this review. Also, the views expressed are my own.

First Reaction
I was freaked out when I saw the cover of the book. I honestly think that it does not do the book justice. After examining the cover I thought the book would be filled with savagery and zombies. Just think of anything dark and sinister and that came to my mind. However, that was not the case. For me the cover doesn't adequately  capture the essence of the book. Basically, I am saying don't judge a book by its cover. This is one such book.

The Book
First let me say, I love good literature. I love to read material that will enable me to sink my teeth in it, that will play on my imagination and leave me wanting to turn to the next page.  This book offered all of these things for me. I really appreciated the mixture of myths, legends, folklore and satire that Hutchings presented in the novel. To me, he was in a sense making a commentary of how society has replace certain values with commercialization. However, he did not offer his point of view in a rigid manifesto format or endless paragraphs of triads. The great thing about this book is that you are reading his stories and poems which are enlightening and witty, while us giving food for thought. With all of this in mind, I think the book offers a good balance whereas some of the stories fell flat for me; I found that there were a lot more stood out in my mind.

You can find copies of this book on Amazon, Smashwords and Barnes & Noble

This is my first ever give away on Lioness Rebirth, therefore you must know this book must be deemed a worthy prize.
